Latest News Updates: According to Knskashmir News, Social Welfare Department, J&K Government, has invited on-line applications from eligible students belonging to the Minority Communities (Notified by the Central Government viz; Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) & Jains of the UT of J&K) pursuing studies in India, in a Government or Recognized Private University/Institute/College/ School.
The On-line implementation of Pre-matric, Post-matric and Merit-cum-Means Based Scholarship will be done through the common National Scholarship Portal at www.scholarships.gov.in (a link of the site is also made available in the website of this Ministry i.e www.minorityaffairs.gov.in of Mobile App- National Scholarships (NSP).

Step 2: From the home page of the website you need to click “new registration”
Step 3: Read the instructions appears on the screen, tick the checkbox and click “continue” option
Step 4: Enter the details as asked on the screen such as name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
Step 5: Enter the captcha code and click the “Register” option
Second Step Login
Step 1: Log in through your “Student Registration ID”
Step 2: Click on “Application Form” Icon
Step 3: The application form will be displayed on the screen
Step 4: Fill in the asked details i.e State of Domicile, Name of the student, Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID etc.
Step 5: Click on “Save & Continue”, next page appeared.
Step 6: Upload the scanned copies of the documents.

- Click “know your AISHE Code” from the drop-down list
- Select your institution type, state, district, university type and name
- Click submit option and list of colleges with AISHE code appears

- Go to the National Scholarship Portal
- Click on “Get it on Google play” option available in the top right side of the page
- Or open the Google Play store in your android mobile
- Go to the search bar and type national scholarship
- Click install option and let the application installed on your phone.
